The Northern Ireland Ombudsman deals with complaints from people who believe they have suffered injustice as a result of maladministration by government departments and public bodies in Northern Ireland
To make a complaint to the Northern Ireland Ombudsman you should first take the complaint to the organisation concerned, using its internal complaints procedure.
If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction you can then take it to the Northern Ireland Ombudsman.
The Ombudsman can deal with complaints about:
- a government department or agency
- local councils
- health services
- education services
