Pay your rates online
You can now pay your rates online through Billpay. This service allows you to pay your rate bill by debit or credit card. Please note that a credit card handling fee of two per cent of your rate bill will be charged for this - this could be around £15 based on an annual bill of £750. There is no charge for paying by debit card.
Before you use the service for the first time, you must register your details and set up a payment profile for Land & Property Services (LPS). You can register using the 'register' link on the Billpay website. Once you register you can set up a payment profile for LPS using the 'By company name' option.
To register and make a payment using the Billpay service you should use the following link:

When you make a payment, if you choose to pay by credit card, you will be asked to confirm that you agree to the credit card handling fee. You will also be advised how much the handling fee is. This handling fee is non-refundable if you later cancel the payment.
Some customers may have limits or restrictions on their credit or debit card, so please bear this in mind when using this service. For example, you may not be able to pay more than a particular amount in one transaction. If you have problems processing a large transaction, you should check with your credit card provider as there may be a limit on your card.
When making a rates payment, you will need your customer reference number. This is made up of your LPS Account ID and Ratepayer ID and can be found at the top of your bill. You should omit the "/" between your Account ID and Ratepayer ID when entering it as your customer reference and only include the numeric digits.
This service is not an LPS product and LPS is not responsible for the contents or reliability of external websites.
