Creggan Forest

Creggan is an upland forest. Timber production is the major activity in the planted areas. The public are welcome to visit this forest on foot.

Activities

The main Creggan block is adjacent to An Cregán Centre which facilitates group meetings, educational courses and community events. It has catering and accommodation facilities.

There is a circular waymarked walking trail in the forest with An Cregn Centre as the focal point.

There may be restrictions on access to parts of our forests from time to time to facilitate forest operations. Please adhere to safety signage which will be posted for your safety.

About this forest

Creggan Forest totaling 660 hectares comprises several forest blocks around Creggan. The component blocks are; Creggan Wood, Killygillian North, Killygillian South and Formil.

How to get there

This forest is situated on the main A505 Omagh to Cookstown road, and is located appoximately 15 miles from Omagh.
