Appointment of non executive directors to the Northern, South Eastern and Southern Health and Social Care Trusts

The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) is seeking to appoint non executive directors to the Northern (NHSCT), South Eastern (SEHSCT) and Southern (SHSCT) HSC Trusts.

  • remuneration: £7,960 per annum
  • period of appointment: four years commencing either 1 October 2015 or 1 April 2016
  • time commitment: one day per week
  • regulated by CPA NI: yes

Appointment of board members to VisitBritain

The Department for Culture, Media & Sport in the UK is seeking to appoint two new members to the board of VisitBritain.

VisitBritain is a non-departmental public body, responsible for marketing Britain worldwide and developing Britain’s visitor.

  • remuneration: £9,435 per annum
  • period of appointment: five years commencing date to be confirmed
  • time commitment: two days per month (average)
  • regulated by CPA NI: no - regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Great Britain

Appointment of non executive board members to the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation

The Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP) is seeking to appoint at least two new members to the Board of the Utility Regulator.

The Utility Regulator is responsible for regulating the electricity and gas industries and water and sewerage services in Northern Ireland and protecting the interests of consumers.

  • remuneration: £9,616 per annum
  • period of appointment: five years commencing 1 October 2015
  • time commitment: approximately 20 days per year
  • regulated by CPA NI: yes

Appointment of school governors

The Department of Education (DE) invites applications for school governor positions.

The role of the Board of Governors is to manage the school with a view to providing the best possible education and educational opportunities for all of the pupils.
