Nominations are now open for the Apprentice of the Year Awards 2012 competition. Winners will be announced on the 17 May 2012.

Apprentice of the Year Awards 2012

The Awards recognise the success of Apprentices who have made a real difference to their own future and to the organisation they work for.

Categories

There are four categories:

1. Apprentice of the Year Award, sponsored by City & Guilds
2. Most Promising 1st Year Award, sponsored by Michelin
3. Recognition Award, sponsored by Fujitsu
4. Innovation in Partnership Award, sponsored by Bombardier

Who can enter?

Apprentices currently on a Department for Employment and Learning Apprenticeship programme are eligible for nomination in one or more categories, provided they meet the criteria.

Key dates

  • Closing date for submitting nominations: 12 noon, Thursday 1 March 2012
  • Workplace visits: week commencing 16 April 2012
  • Awards ceremony: Thursday 17 May 2012

Awards ceremony

Winners, shortlisted apprentices and their nominating organisations will be invited to the Apprentice of the Year Awards ceremony, which is being held on Thursday 17 May 2012 in Holiday Inn, Ormeau Road, Belfast.
